Gujarat

Gujarat is a state in the west of India, whose capital is Gandhinagar. Gujarat was formed on 1-May-1960. The total area of Gujarat is 1,96,024km². 

The total population of Gujarat is 62.7 million (2013). There are 33 districts in Gujarat. The population density of Gujarat is 308 / km². Gujarat's official language is Gujarati.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra is a state located in the mid-west of India, whose capital is Mumbai. Maharashtra was formed on 1-May-1960. The total area of Maharashtra is 3,07,713km². 

The total population of Maharashtra is 114.2 million (2012). There are 36 districts in Maharashtra. The population density of Maharashtra is 365 / km². Marathi is the official language of Maharashtra.

Daman and Diu:

Union Territory of Daman and Diu, for more than 450 years, Daman and Diu on the banks of the Arabian Sea were part of Portuguese India along with Goa and Dadar and Nagar Haveli. Goa, Daman, and Diu were incorporated into the Republic of India on 19 December 1961 after the military conquest.

Dadar and Nagar Haveli:

Dadar and Nagar Haveli is a union territory in western India. Nagar Haveli is between Maharashtra and Gujarat while Dadar is a 1 km sub (1 km NW) enclave surrounded by Gujarat. Their common capital is Silvassa. 

A large part of it is spread over the upper river region of Daman city on the banks of the English letter C in the center, with the Madhuban reservoir in the center and outside the state. It came into existence on 11 August 1961.
