It is said that Lord Krishna left Mathura about 2000 years ago and settled on the west coast of Saurashtra. After many years, Maurya, Gupta, Pratihar, and other dynasties ruled this region. If we talk about the culture of Gujarat is different from other parts. Here every religion gets equal respect. Dandiya Utsav is very famous in the country and abroad at the time of Gujarat's kite flying and Navratri. Apart from this, different types of festivals are celebrated in Gujarat, some of which are as follows
Bhadrapada which is a fair in Shiva Lord Aradhana in Tarnetari village on Chaturthi, Panchami, and Shashthi in the Shukla Paksha of the month of August-September.
In the marriage of Krishna Bhagwan and Rukmini, the Madhav Rai fair is held in Madhavpur near Porbandar on the Navami of the Shukla Paksha of March-April.
In North Gujarat, a fair is organized for Maa Ambe in Banaskantha district.
The biggest fair here is held on Janmashtami, the birthday of Krishna Bhagwan.
Apart from all this, Makar-Sankranti, Navratri, Dangi Darbar, Shyamlalji Fair and Bhavnath Fair are held.
Romantic, colorful, and playful dance is organized here. Dandiya and Garba are very popular from Gujarat. Used in a constructive way. They are also very popular in the younger generation for a pleasant romance. It is played especially on the occasion of Navratri.
Women are set of embroidered clothes, Ghagra, and Bandhani dupatta. Bracelets, necklaces, and anklets are worn exclusively with this. The men wear a turban with Kehediu, the witch. Garba is a very beautiful kind of dance form in which men have also started taking part in today's time.
